Plot Synopsis

MY FEET ARE KILLING ME is a one-hour reality series that follows expert podiatrists and surgeons Dr. Ebonie Vincent and Dr. Brad Schaeffer, as they juggle all sorts of eye-popping cases -- from wart clusters and funky fungus, to toe amputations and foot reconstructions. Each 60-minute episode follows three patients -- who after years, if not decades of neglect -- hopelessly turn to Dr. Ebonie and Dr. Brad to fix their unusual foot conditions so they may reclaim their lives and confidence. These personal stories include: a paranormal romance novelist who hopes to get her unwieldy and unsightly sixth toe amputated; an athlete with two dramatically different sized feet; a former professional dancer with a bunion so big she can hardly walk; a man suffering from Proteus syndrome, or the Elephant Man's Disease which has left him with gigantic feet; a patient with a double big toe; a nudist with severe fungus; and an adorable toddler born with 12 toes. Tackling everything from grave ailments and cosmetic procedures to full foot reconstruction, these telegenic doctors use their expert surgical skills to fix embarrassing foot problems and change people's lives.

Dr. Ebonie Vincent, DPM is a highly trained foot and ankle surgeon in Orange County, California. She has extensive experience in the latest treatments for foot and ankle conditions and specializes in minimally invasive surgical techniques, corrective and reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, diabetic limb salvage, pediatric foot conditions and sports medicine. Dr. Vincent has co-authored several research articles, with published articles in the Journal of Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy (JOSPT). She has won research awards for poster and oral presentations through research presented at Des Moines University.

Dr. Brad Schaeffer, DPM worked hands-on with patients at Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine clinic in Philadelphia, PA from 2007 to 2011. During this time, he examined and assessed various conditions in a clinical setting. Dr. Schaeffer had the opportunity to rotate through several departments within TUSPM, including surgery, orthopedic department, wound care, podiatric medicine, diagnosis, physical therapy and radiology. He gained valuable knowledge in a clinical setting, successfully completed the NBOPME Board Part I and II and also became BLS-and ACLS Certified. Prior to his time at Temple University, Dr. Schaeffer attended Palm Beach Atlantic University. He was a biology major, chemistry minor and business minor. Scholarships earned were the Christian Leadership Scholarship, Sailfish Award and a Provost Scholarship.

In the season opener, "Hornet's Nest Feet," Dr. Ebonie's skills are tested as she attempts to diagnose a patient with feet covered in huge, wart-like masses. Dr. Brad is confronted with a dangerous mystery case that could be related to the elephant man as well as a patient with paper thin skin.

Season 3 of MY FEET ARE KILLING ME premiered on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at 10pm ET/PT on TLC. Dr. Ebonie, Dr. Brad and Dr. Sarah are back to treat exceptional foot maladies, including a condition so rare that only eight people in the world have ever been diagnosed with it. In these new episodes, the doctors perform transformational work on patients with everything from literal horns to bark-like growths on their feet -- they'll even see a woman who appears to have permanent stilettos on her heels, an extremely rare condition called Olmstead Syndrome. The doctors will use their expertise and compassion to help their patients put their best foot forward to reclaim their lives. In the season opener, "Hellish Horns," a man with horns on his feet, a woman whose foot went through a windshield, and a guy that has "dead man's feet" create mysterious challenges for Dr. Brad and Dr. Ebonie.
