Plot Synopsis

Using re-creations and first-person interviews, MURDER AMONG FRIENDS chronicles the stories of killers and their accomplices. Each one-hour episode focuses on a different murder case, including: an all-American teenager in Apex, NC, who is convinced an unseen criminal wants him dead -- and whose friends helped him lay low at an abandoned property but later become suspects when the boy winds up dead; a young man in Hollywood, FL, whose body is found at the edge of The Everglades, leading investigators into a sordid tale of bullying, revenge, and secret relationships; and many more murderous pacts. On Thursday, June 15, 2016 at 9pm ET/PT, Investigation Discovery premiered the second season of MURDER AMONG FRIENDS. In the season opener, "Date with Dystiny," when firefighters extinguish a California brush fire, they unexpectedly ignite a twisted murder mystery -- rife with forced prostitution, burning jealousy, and an almost unthinkable murder mastermind.
