Plot Synopsis

Taped deep in the heart of Modesto, California, THE MOVIE SHOW is hosted by polar opposites, Deb and Wade, who have nothing in common other than their shared love of movies and the fact that they're both puppets. Each week, they dish out their hot takes on upcoming blockbuster movies, including WONDER WOMAN 1984, DUNE, and GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY: VOL. 3, as well as classic, fan-favorite films, such as BACK TO THE FUTURE, JUMANJI, and APOLLO 13. The show features exclusive deleted scenes and a star-studded line up of interview guests -- like the shark from JAWS and Steven King's laptop. Deb and Wade also catch up with everyone's favorite movie stars of yesteryear, such as the T-Rex from JURASSIC PARK, Splinter from TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES, and many more.

Featuring an interview with the writer of THE MEG, THE MOVIE SHOW opens with a new episode, "The Movie Show Does Big Sharks," on Friday, November 27, 2020 at 11:35pm ET/PT on Syfy. Two days later on Sunday, November 29 at 11:35pm, Syfy premieres another episode, "The Movie Show Does Batman," where Deb announces the world is ending, while Wade makes a Batman musical. THE MOVIE SHOW settles into its regular timeslot -- Thursdays at 11pm -- starting December 3, with its third installment, "The Movie Show Does Horror." A new episode debuts each Thursday thereafter.
