Plot Synopsis

Host David Nadelberg sits down with celebrities to discuss their early years, as they look through a shoebox full of memories and laughter that longs to be taken down from the top shelf of the closet. In each 30-minute episode, Nadelberg visits with one or two celebrities, using their shoebox of memories to draw out their most fascinating stories and never-before heard details and to answer the obvious and sometimes not so obvious questions: Were you popular?; Were you the class clown?; Were you considered the most likely or least likely to succeed?; Was there a moment in your childhood that you knew you were destined for the entertainment industry?; and many more burning questions. Celebrity guests in Season 1 included: actor Ed Helms; actress Mo'Nique; actor Eric Stonestreet; married actor couple Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally, who see each other's childhood memorabilia for the first time; Will Forte, from the stage of the Groundlings Theatre; actress Jennifer Grey, who talked about the pressures of growing up in a family of larger than life entertainers; and TOMS philanthropist Blake Mycoskie. Season 2 opened with Busy Philipps, who relived her skateboarder crushes, a Drew Barrymore inspired prom dress, and a curiously autobiographical play. Subsequent episodes included Adam Goldberg, Kristin Bauer, Mark Duplass, Gillian Jacobs, Matt Walsh, Jason Ritter, Marc Maron and more
