Plot Synopsis

One of TV's first dramedies, MOONLIGHTING follows irresistible ex-model Maddie Hayes and irrepressible detective David Addison at Blue Moon Investigations, as they solve crimes while trading clever banter dripping with sexual innuendo. When Maddie's crooked business manager left her with nothing but a dying career, she discovered that she owned a detective agency in Los Angeles. Needing the cash, Maddie was prepared to sell the firm -- until David convinced her to keep the business and work with him as a private investigator, along with Agnes DiPesto, the rhyming receptionist. MOONLIGHTING is often remembered for its special episodes, such as the black-and-white film noir story and the take-off of Shakespeare's "Taming of the Shrew," but more often than not, MOONLIGHTING is used as an example of how a program's lead characters lose their chemistry when the will they/won't they romantic storyline develops too quickly.
