Plot Synopsis

Each year, thousands of high-school students apply to the Miami-based arts organization, YoungArts, for the chance to be mentored by the greatest artists in the world. "Masterclass" documents the experiences of 150 of these students who were selected to participate in this chance of a lifetime. Each episode follows a small group of emerging artists as they work with a notable mentor, including: Placido Domingo, Julian Schnabel, Jacques d'Amboise, Frank Gehry, Olafur Elliason, Edward Albee, Bill T. Jones, Liv Ullmann, and Michael Tilson Thomas.
