Plot Synopsis

This reality series follows the three-time Grammy-award-winning Gospel duo, Mary Mary, as they tour the country, promote their albums, and walk Hollywood red carpets -- all while balancing their careers with their lives as sisters and mothers with growing families. Sisters Erica and Tina Campbell are Mary Mary, and their music is a family business: Erica's husband, Warryn, is the group's producer and Tina's husband, Teddy, was the drummer in Jay Leno's band. The sisters also have a very large, extended family of seven siblings to deal with -- one of which is the group's stylist -- and their parents, who have been married and divorced three times to each other, and now currently separated. Outside of the recording studio in Season 1, Erica and Warryn were expecting their third child, and Tina and Teddy were raising a blended family of four. In Season 2, which premiered on Thursday, December 6, 2012 at 10pm ET, Tina and Erica Campbell toured and promoted their new single, "Go Get It," as they dealt with the stress of wardrobe malfunctions, Tina's pregnancy struggles, their headstrong manager Mitchell Solarek, and their sister/celebrity stylist Goo Goo, who had her own issues as her sister's wedding planner and with her long-distance boyfriend. MARY MARY returned for its third season on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at 9pm ET/PT on WEtv. In the Season 3 premiere, Tina revealed a devastating truth about her marriage, while Erica concentrated on her solo career. Plus, Mary Mary landed the cover of "Ebony Magazine." Later in Season 3, Erica must deal with a medical issue -- and maybe take a break from singing or risk losing her voice -- and Erica and Tina discuss Mary Mary's future. WEtv premiered the fourth season of MARY MARY on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at 10pm ET/PT, as Erica & Tina go full force on their solo projects. After the heartbreak of her husband's infidelity last season, Tina is determined to show that she and Teddy have come out stronger than ever. Erica struggles with a busy touring schedule, causing conflict at home and a new power struggle within Mary Mary. Tina vows to break out as a solo artist and take the reins and manage Mary Mary. With both sisters going their separate ways, tensions are at an all-time high. In the season opener, "Solo Sisters," Erica discovers how difficult a solo career can be without a manager and the Mary Mary budget. Tina stirs things up with Warryn and her record label by planning her solo project completely on her own. Season 5 of MARY MARY premiered on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at 9pm ET/PT on WEtv. In the new season, Erica Campbell is at the top of her game having won a Grammy, Dove and Soul Train Award, and Tina's solo career is on the rise. These now-solo sisters have become accustomed to being at the top as part of the dynamic duo that is Mary Mary; however their careers now have them in direct competition with each other. Can Mary Mary survive the pressures of Erica and Tina's individual careers and personal lives, or will their success be the demise of Mary Mary? In the season opener, "Sister Dissed Him," Warryn Campbell begins to feel pressure from Sony Records to deliver the album. The sixth and final season of MARY MARY premiered on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at 9pm ET/PT on WE tv. Season 5 ended with high tensions between Erica and Tina, leaving fans to speculate about the fate of the group. At the same time, Goo Goo planned to transition from her role as their stylist to pursue her personal dreams. On season 6, the group braves global terrorist threats to take on their biggest world tour yet. But competition over each of their growing solo careers, and long buried emotional demons that resurface in the Holy Land prove to be the ultimate test of their sisterly bond. Said Tina Campbell, "I'm so grateful to have shared the last several years of my life, personally and professionally, with all of the supporters of the viewers of our reality show. We've written and recorded songs together, we've released albums together, we've been pregnant together, we've had babies on the show, we've had the worst of times in our families and have had the best of times with our family. You've watch our children grow up. Heck you've watched Erica and I and the rest of our family grow up over these years. We've established an identity together and separately and you all have been with us for the entire ride. I can't possibly find the words to truly express my gratitude for this experience so I'll just say thank you, thank you, thank you, to everyone who made it happen and to everyone who watched it happen. It's been great." "We have been so proud to share our music and our lives with WE tv viewers and fans for the past five seasons," said Erica Campbell. "We are grateful to our fans for going with us on this journey, from the highest of highs to the lowest of lows, we can't wait to return this fall to complete this part of our story."
