Plot Synopsis

Using re-creations and first-person interviews, MAIL ORDER MURDER is a half-hour series that uncovers stories of lovers who have clocked hours traveling overseas and browsing mail-order bride catalogs for their fairytale ending, but their searches turned deadly. Each 30-minute series focuses on a different relationship, including: Yana, a mail-order bride from Russia, who moved into Scott Huss' Port Charlotte, FL, home with her son, but tensions arose and secrets emerged; mail-order bride Emelita Villa, who arrived from the Philippines to marry her new husband Jack Reeves, but two years later one of them disappears and the other stands trial for murder; and many more mail-order marriages gone bad.
