Plot Synopsis

MADE FROM AMERICA is a half-hour reality series that follows Gabe Johnson, co-owner of the Seattle-based T-shirt company Horses Cut Shop, as he travels across America to explore small towns and businesses, seeking inspiration for new T-shirt designs displaying the identities of businesses that are part of the character of their communities. In each 30-minute episode, Gabe visits three small businesses and owners, including: Ricky Robbin, captain of the Lil' Rick, who has been shrimping the bayou in St. Bernard Parish, LA; Doug Park, who restores and handcrafts wooden boats at Redd's Pond Boatworks in Marblehead, MA; Miller's Launch in Staten Island, NY, where Gabe finds out how one man took a salvaged boat and created an empire; The Barnacle Restaurant in Marblehead, MA, where the owner serves up lobsters he's caught that very morning; Lafayette, LA, where every place has its own unique take on traditional Cajun cuisine; Smith Bros Farms in Kent, WA, which delivers milk right to your doorstep; KVPI, which plays local Cajun Zydeco and swamp pop music in Ville Platte, LA; Memo's, where the Big Nine music scene lives on in Chattanooga, TN; the Mountain Opry, which still keeps the tradition of bluegrass music alive on Signal Mountain; Vintage Steele in Brattleboro, VT, where two friends find and flip old motorcycles; the SloPoks car club in Vancouver, WA; Pittsburgh's Pennsylvania Motor Speedway, where dirt track racers compete; Bloodroot Blades, which makes custom knives handcrafted from recycled material in Arnoldsville, GA; the Williamsport Foundry in Williamsport, PA, which has been pouring metal since 1916; Liberty Welding, the oldest welding operation in Pittsburgh, PA; and many more businesses that each inspire Gabe to create a T-shirt design to honor its company's spirit.
