Plot Synopsis

This one-hour drama series set in 1960s New York depicts the lives of the ruthlessly competitive men and women of Madison Avenue advertising, an ego-driven world where key players make an art of the manipulating the truth, both professionally and privately. Season 5, which took place from Memorial Day 1966 through Spring 1967, explored Don Draper's new marriage to his young wife, Megan, which distracted him from his job, leaving Peggy to do the work. Eventually, Peggy decided to leave the agency. Meanwhile, Roger tries to remain relevant, experiments with drugs, and divorces his wife. Season 6 premiered on Sunday, April 7, 2013 at 9pm ET/PT on AMC, with a two-hour episode, "The Doorway," with Don in Hawaii spearheading a new ad campaign, Roger getting unsettling news, and Betty taking in a houseguest. The 14-episode seventh and final season of MAD MEN premiered on Sunday, April 13, 2014 on AMC. In the Season 7 opener, "Time Zones," Don makes a friend, while Joan has drinks with a client and Roger receives a perplexing phone call. MAD MEN aired for seven consecutive weeks in spring 2014 ("The Beginning"), ending on Sunday, May 25, 2014 at 10pm ET/PT, as AMC premiered "Waterloo," an episode in which Don was troubled by a letter while Peggy considered a new future on a risky venture.

On Sunday, May 17 at 10pm ET/PT, AMC premiered the series finale of MAD MEN. Leading up to the series finale, AMC aired a marathon of all seven seasons of MAD MEN in consecutive order beginning on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at 6pm and leading into the series ender, "Person to Person," at 10pm as the stories of Don Draper, his family and his co-workers at Sterling Cooper & Partners conclude.

To pay homage to MAD MEN's place in television history, all of AMC's sister networks -- BBC AMERICA, IFC, SundanceTV and WE tv -- forego regularly scheduled programming for one hour timed to the MAD MEN finale and instead air a special message commemorating the series.

Launching during the five-day MAD MEN on-air event is the all-new "Times of Your Life" spot -- the final promo for the series. The beautiful retrospective piece, set to the popular song that was also used in a 1970s Kodak ad campaign, is presented from Don Draper's perspective and features memorable, moving scenes from the series. The spot, which uses the Paul Anka version of the song, will debut on Wednesday, May 13 and will also serve as the curtain raiser for the final episode, airing immediately prior to the series finale on Sunday, May 17.

Additionally, AMC aired vintage promos from past seasons of the series, celebrity fan tributes and interview footage from recent MAD MEN red carpet events. In addition, spots showcasing important first moments from the series will air in between episodes, as well as a sequence of "Madvertising" vignettes -- facts and famous quotes about the advertising industry.
