Plot Synopsis

Five-star French-chef Ludo Lefebvre and his business partner/wife, Krissy, travel across America, creating a different menu for a short-term, pop-up restaurant in each city. Ludo has created a new business model that allows him to escape the frustrating confinements of a brick-and-mortar restaurant, giving him the freedom to experiment with geographic gastronomy. In each episode, Ludo travels to a new city, where he and Krissy scout locations, hire staffs, experiment with local flavors and open a restaurant -- all in one week. Ludo and Krissy serve their culinary creations in the following cities: Santa Fe, where they set up shop in the Tecolote Cafe to serve their own 5-star take on Southwestern classics; Omaha, where they create down-home classics with a French twist at Big Mama's Kitchen; Mobile, where they serve Southern comfort food with a high-end spin at Queen G's Cafe; Denver, where they track down Biker Jim's Gourmet Hot Dogs for a high-end menu of wild meats; Redondo Beach, where Casa Pulido becomes home to Ludo's latest gastronomic mash-up -- a fusion of Mexican cuisine with fresh-caught Pacific seafood; and Raleigh, recreate Carolina barbecue by using the whole hog at a one-night stand of their pop-up restaurant, LudoBites.
