Plot Synopsis

LOST SPEEDWAYS is a half-hour docuseries that follows NASCAR legend Dale Earnhardt Jr. and motorsports maven Matthew Dillner, as they travel across America to explore great racing cathedrals of the past. These historic racecourses have been abandoned and overtaken by nature, but their memories and mysteries persist. In each 30-minute episode the duo visit a different venue, including: Metrolina Speedway in Charlotte, NC; Middle Georgia Raceway, the site of a 1967 federal moonshine sting; New Asheville Speedway, where a notorious on-track dispute took place in 1986; an old road course designed by the great Fireball Roberts in Augusta, GA; Hinchliffe Stadium, home to yesteryear's booming heyday of midget car racing; and more. LOST SPEEDWAYS features appearances by racing legends. On Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Peacock release the entire eight-episode first season.
