Plot Synopsis

Executive produced by series stars George Lopez and his daughter, Mayan Lopez, LOPEZ VS. LOPEZ is a half-hour working-class family comedy series about dysfunction, reconnection and all the pain and joy in between. This comedy series tells the story of a working-class old-school Latino who moves in with his modern Gen Z daughter as they rebuild their dysfunctional relationship one argument at a time. It's old vs. new, father vs. daughter, Lopez vs. Lopez. In the series opener, when Mayan deals with a difficult client at work, George teaches her how to handle her the Lopez way. After a three-week break, LOPEZ VS. LOPEZ returned with new episodes on Thursday, January 6, 2023 at 8pm ET/PT on NBC. In the winter premiere, "Lopez vs Ghosts," when the Lopez home is disturbed by an evil spirit, the family enlists a curandero (guest star Cheech Marin) who tells them the house isn't haunted, it's George! The ghost of his grandmother (guest star Rita Moreno) is hell-bent on righting a past wrong and will keep throwing chanclas at his big head until he does it. On Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at 8:30pm ET/PT, LOPEZ VS. LOPEZ moved to its new night and time -- Tuesdays at 8:30pm -- for the remainder of its first season. In tonight's episode, "Lopez vs Corte Caliente," there's no order in the court when George and Rosie ask a TV judge to resolve their dispute. Mayan and Quinten enroll Chance in Folklorico dance classes.

On Tuesday, April 2, 2024, LOPEZ VS. LOPEZ returns for its second season with back-to-back new episodes from 8-9pm ET/PT on NBC. Guests for Season 2 include: Gabriel Iglesias as Iggy, George's fun-loving, jort-wearing, oversharing AA sponsor ("Lopez vs Sobriety"); Diana Maria Riva as Olga, a tough negotiator known for selling the best knock-off TVs at the local swap meet ("Lopez vs Swap Meet"); Marshawn Lynch as Marshawn, a brutally honest sideline reporter with big, infectious energy who brings hot takes on everything, from busted coverage on the field to busted faces in the stands ("Lopez vs Raider Nation"); Cheech Marin, who returns to the show as Carlos the Curandero, a spiritual healer who's all about the "oms, holmes" ("Lopez vs Let it Go"); Tommy Chong as Bryan, a guy who's been waking and baking since 1978 ("Lopez vs Let it Go"); and Jaime Camil, who recurs as Josue Consuelos, a charming personal injury attorney whose face is on billboards all over Los Angeles (1st appearance in "Lopez vs Raider Nation").

"Lopez vs Dreams" (8pm): When George's vivid dreams reveal he has feelings for Rosie, he avoids sleeping and gets distracted at work. When Chance tests at a genius level IQ, Mayan and Quinten fear that they're a couple of dum-dums.

"Lopez vs Lisa" (8:30pm): Mayan worries when George gets into a hairy situation dating a hot hairdresser. Josue gets locked into a competition with the other man in Rosie's life, her grandson, Chance.
