Plot Synopsis

Hosted by Rove McManus, LIE DETECTORS is a half-hour comedy panel game show that invites the studio audience to play along by separating truths from bold-faced lies. In each 30-minute episode, three comedians try to stump the audience by presenting a mix of outrageous facts and more outrageous lies, gathered from the farthest corners of the pop culture universe. Which celebrity tweet, obscure smart phone app, or late-night infomercial product is real or phony? The audience member who gets the most correct answers in the fastest time wins $1,000 and come forward to face off against the comedians in a final round for a chance to win up to $5,000. The premiere episode featured guest comedians Michelle Buteau, Christian Finnegan and Sherrod Small, and subsequent episodes included the comedic talents of Liza Treyger, Dave Hill, Gina Brillon, Nick Turner, Casey Jost, and more.
