Plot Synopsis

LEGENDS OF THE HIDDEN TEMPLE originally aired from 1993-1995 on Nickelodeon. Hosted by Kirk Fogg -- with Dee Bradley Baker as the voice of Olmec, the talking head who "knows the secrets behind each of the treasures in his temple" -- the series consisted of six two-member teams of kids competing to win cash and prizes by answering trivia questions about history, mythology, and geography; and performing physical stunts to retrieve one of the historical artifacts in the temple.

On Saturday, November 26, 2016 from 8-9:20pm ET/PT, Nickelodeon premiered LEGENDS OF THE HIDDEN TEMPLE, an original movie inspired by the '90s game show. This telefilm follows three siblings, Sadie (Isabela Moner), Noah (Colin Critchley), and Dudley (Jet Jurgensmeyer), who break away from a lackluster tour in a jungle, finding themselves immersed in a high-stakes adventure comprised of obstacles that they must complete in order to escape alive. The TV movie features elements from the original game show including: original TV show host Kirk Fogg; Olmec (Dee Bradley Baker), a talking stone head who greets anyone who dares to enter the temple; The Steps of Knowledge, the entrance to the temple and launching pad for the mission; and cameos from a green monkey, red jaguar, and silver snakes, among others.
