Plot Synopsis

Long-time anchor of Weekend Update on SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE, Seth Meyers transitions to host of LATE NIGHT, filling the shoes of Jimmy Fallon, who went on to host THE TONIGHT SHOW after Jay Leno's departure. Meyers welcomes A-list celebrity guests, memorable comedians, and the best in musical talent, as he develops his own take on a late-night program, while using his spot-on jokes and satire. SNL alum Fred Armisen leads The 8G Band, Meyers' LATE NIGHT house band. LATE NIGHT WITH SETH MEYERS premiered late night Monday (Jan. 24)/early morning Tuesday (Jan. 25) at 12:35am ET/PT on NBC, one week after the debut of THE TONIGHT SHOW STARRING JIMMY FALLON. Meyers' first week of guests included:
Mon (2/24): Amy Poehler, Vice President Joe Biden and musical guest A Great Big World
Tue (2/25): Kanye West, Russell Wilson and author Robyn Doolittle
Wed (2/26): Kelly Ripa, Brad Paisley and musical guest Brad Paisley

On Saturday, December 31, 2016 at 10pm ET/PT, NBC premiered the "Late Night with Seth Meyers New Year's Eve Special." The hourlong program features special appearances by Jennifer Lawrence, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Leslie Jones, a performance by multiple Grammy-winning superstar Kelly Clarkson and more. Clarkson performs "It's Quiet Uptown" from "The Hamilton Mixtape."
