Plot Synopsis
Long-time anchor of Weekend Update on SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE, Seth Meyers transitions to host of LATE NIGHT, filling the shoes of Jimmy Fallon, who went on to host THE TONIGHT SHOW after Jay Leno's departure. Meyers welcomes A-list celebrity guests, memorable comedians, and the best in musical talent, as he develops his own take on a late-night program, while using his spot-on jokes and satire. SNL alum Fred Armisen leads The 8G Band, Meyers' LATE NIGHT house band. LATE NIGHT WITH SETH MEYERS premiered late night Monday (Jan. 24)/early morning Tuesday (Jan. 25) at 12:35am ET/PT on NBC, one week after the debut of THE TONIGHT SHOW STARRING JIMMY FALLON. Meyers' first night of guests included: Amy Poehler, Vice President Joe Biden and musical guest A Great Big World
