Plot Synopsis

Inspired by Gwen Stefani and the Harajuku Girls, KUU KUU HARAJUKU is a half-hour animated series that follows Love, Angel, Music and Baby, who form HJ5, a band driven by their inspirational leader, G. The girls are super talented but every gig is interrupted by a fantasy driven wild-card before the first note is ever played. Angry aliens, no-fun politicians, invading creatures and cute monster pets have foiled concert attempts -- but G and her friends never give up. As a result, the series is a collision of cultures, a kaleidoscope of music, fashion and style. The four main characters -- Love, Angel, Music and Baby -- are named after Stefani's debut solo album, "Love. Angel. Music. Baby." and her L.A.M.B. fashion line. Nickelodeon aired the U.S. premiere of KUU KUU HARAJUKU at 4pm ET/PT on Monday, October 3, 2016, the same day as Stefani's 47th birthday.
