Plot Synopsis

Each year on Super Bowl Sunday, a different group of adorable kitten athletes go back-to-back and belly-to-belly at Kitten Stadium in this annual three-hour special. Hosted by Beth Stern, national spokesperson for North Shore Animal League America, KITTEN BOWL features John Sterling, the radio voice of the New York Yankees, doing play by play, with Renee Herlocker (2014) and Mary Carillo (2015-2017) providing color commentary. During the broadcast, they're joined by a different group of celebrity guests each year.

KITTEN BOWL I -- which premiered from Noon-3pm ET/PT on Sunday, February 2, 2014 on Hallmark Channel, immediately followed by three encore presentations from 3-6pm, 6-9pm, and 9pm-Midnight (all times ET/PT) -- featured these celebrity guests: Regis Philbin, Rachael Ray, Hoda Kotb, Nicky Hilton, Lisa Vanderpump, Bob Harper, Chuck Nice, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Carrie Ann Inaba, Rocco DiSpirito, Kelly Rutherford, Aiden Turner, Ariel Meredith, Kristen Aldridge, and Cory Kalanick.

For KITTEN BOWL II, which premiered Sunday, February 1, 2015 at Noon ET/PT on Hallmark Channel, Beth Stern returned as the host with John Sterling again doing play-by-play commentary. This year, they're joined by Mary Carillo, who provided color commentary for her first KITTEN BOWL. Plus, celebrity guest appearances included FFL commissioner Boomer Esiason, Kevin Nealon, Regis Philbin, Mario Lopez, Maria Menounos, Kat Dennings, Bob Harper, Fiona Gubelmann, Tricia Helfer, Heather McDonald, Deidre Hall, Jenn Brown and Camren Bicondova.

KITTEN BOWL III premiered Sunday, February 7, 2016 from Noon-3pm ET/PT on Hallmark Channel, repeating 3-6pm and 6-9pm the same night. The four-legged game was again hosted by Beth Stern with play-by-play announcers John Sterling and Mary Carillo and special guest appearances by Feline Football League (FFL) Commissioner Boomer Esiason, Hallmark Channel's Pet Ambassadors Happy The Cat & Happy The Dog, Kevin Nealon, Brad Garrett, Wendy McLendon-Covey and many more. New this year, were adoptable cats as team coaches as well as an adorable kitten and puppy halftime show.

KITTEN BOWL IV premiered Sunday, February 5, 2017 from Noon-3pm ET/PT on Hallmark Channel, repeating 3-6pm and 6-9pm the same night. Beth Stern returns to host with play-by-play announcers John Sterling and Mary Carillo, along with Feline Football League (FFL) Commissioner Boomer Esiason.

KITTEN BOWL V premieres Sunday, February 4, 2018 from Noon-3pm ET/PT on Hallmark Channel, with host Beth Stern, announcers Dean Cain, Alison Sweeney, and Rodney Peete, and Feline Football League (FFL) Commissioner Boomer Esiason, who also calls the play-by-play action on the day of the big game. The 2018 version of KITTEN BOWL features countless displaced kittens rescued from the country's most recent natural disasters, all of whom will be vying for the National Championship of Feline Football trophy -- and a loving, forever home in which to display it.

KITTEN BOWL VI premieres Sunday, February 3, 2019 from 2-4pm ET/PT on Hallmark Channel, with host Beth Stern, announcers Dean Cain, Rodney Peete, and Rashad Jennings, and Feline Football League (FFL) Commissioner Boomer Esiason, who also calls the play-by-play action on the day of the big game.

On Sunday, February 2, 2020 from 2-4pm ET/PT, Hallmark Channel premiered KITTEN BOWL VII. Beth Stern hosts, joined by commentators Jill Wagner, Brennan Elliott, Rashad Jennings, and Feline Football Commissioner Boomer Esiason.

KITTEN BOWL VIII premiered on Sunday, February 7, 2021 from 2-4pm ET/PT on Hallmark Channel. Beth Stern hosts and she's joined by Cameron Mathison and Tamera Mowry-Housley for all the play-by-play action.

This year's event features kittens rescued from across the country, as four teams compete for the Kitten Bowl Championship trophy. The 2021 game also marks a milestone of more than 50,000 shelter pet adoptions since KITTEN BOWL premiered in 2014. North Shore Animal League America and Last Hope Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation drafted the 2021 teams.

TV personality, author and animal advocate Beth Stern returns as host for this year's event from Hallmark Channel's Kitten Bowl Stadium. Stern embodies the spirit of adoption in her everyday life, having fostered countless animals in need. Stern's tireless year-round efforts to find homes for animals endears her to Hallmark Channel viewers and pet enthusiasts nationwide.
