Plot Synopsis

Based on the "Villanelle" novellas by Luke Jennings, KILLING EVE is a one-hour drama series that centers on two women: Eve is a bored, whip-smart, pay-grade MI5 security officer whose desk-bound job doesn't fulfill her fantasies of being a spy; Villanelle is a mercurial, talented killer who clings to the luxuries her violent job affords her. This series topples the typical spy-action thriller as these two fiercely intelligent women, equally obsessed with each other, go head to head in an epic game of cat and mouse. In the series opener, "Nice Face," Eve is tasked with protecting the only witness of a murdered Russian politician, and she soon finds herself on a collision course with Villanelle. Phoebe Waller-Bridge is the writer, showrunner and an executive producer of KILLING EVE.

Season 2 of KILLING EVE premieres on Sunday, April 7, 2019 at 8pm ET/PT on BBC America, with a simulcast on AMC. The new season continues the story of two women, bound by a mutual obsession and one brutal act: Eve, an MI6 operative, and Villanelle, the assassin Eve is tasked with finding. New cast members for the second season include Nina Sosanya, Edward Bluemel and Julian Barratt. In the season opener, "Do You Know How to Dispose of a Body?," Eve is reeling from her act of violence against Villanelle and doesn't know whether she is alive or dead; a paranoid and severely injured Villanelle manages to get herself to the hospital for treatment; Carolyn approaches Eve with an opportunity.

The eight-episode third season of KILLING EVE premiered on Sunday, April 12, 2020 at 9pm ET/PT on BBC America, with a simulcast on AMC. Season 3 continues the story of two women with brutal pasts, addicted to each other but now trying desperately to live their lives without their drug of choice. For Villanelle, the assassin without a job, Eve is dead. For Eve, the ex-MI6 operative hiding in plain sight, Villanelle will never find her. All seems fine until a shocking and personal death sets them on a collision course yet again. The journey back to each other will cost both of them friends, family, and allegiances...and perhaps a share of their souls. This season, all episodes are simulcast on AMC.

KILLING EVE returned for its fourth and final season with a two-episode season opener on Sunday, February 27, 2022 on BBC America at 8pm and earlier in the day on AMC+. After the emotional climax of Season 3, Eve, Villanelle, and Carolyn are in very different places. Following Eve and Villanelle's exchange on the bridge, Eve is on a revenge mission, while Villanelle has found a brand-new community in an attempt to prove she's not a "monster." Having killed Paul, Carolyn goes to extraordinary lengths to continue to chase down The Twelve and the person that ordered Kenny's hit. In the season opener, "Just Dunk Me," Eve is on a revenge mission against The Twelve; she has a lead and needs to track her down via one of her assassins; Villanelle wants to change, so she endears herself to a church community; Carolyn is focused on getting back in the game.

KILLING EVE concludes with the final two episodes beginning at 8pm ET/PT on Sunday, April 10 on BBC America. The series finale will stream on AMC+ on Sunday, April 10 (the penultimate episode is already up on AMC+). A weekly encore presentation of both episodes will air on AMC on Monday, April 11 starting at 9pm ET/PT.

In the penultimate episode, "Making Dead Things Look Nice," Eve takes on an even bigger revenge mission against The Twelve and realizes she may need Villanelle's help to succeed. Villanelle has a dalliance with the new assassin who intrigues her and may be of use. Carolyn's latest string of intel may lead her to home turf where she has long strayed from.

In the series finale, "Hello, Losers," Eve and Villanelle focus on making a seismic stab at The Twelve, even if it means risking their own lives. With fresh intel, they pursue the mission before it's too late. Carolyn arrives home as a traitor and has a finite amount of time to use her intel as leverage to get herself back in the game.
