Plot Synopsis

JULIUS JR. is an animated preschool series that teaches young children about individuality and sense of self, cooperative and active play, and imagination and inventiveness, and each episode ends with an original thematic song. Based on a young version of Julius the monkey, Paul Frank's most popular character, Julius Jr. is a funky monkey with a penchant for invention, who embarks on adventures with his best pals: Worry Bear, Sheree the feline, Clancy the giraffe, and Ping the panda. Together, they build a playhouse out of a simple cardboard box, but when they walk inside, to their surprise and delight, they discover that ordinary objects magically come to life and amazing adventures are just a door away. Julius Jr. proves every day that the best inventions are the ones that help your friends. And as the unflappable and cool leader of his gaggle of goofy friends, he's the group leader, the inventor and innocent instigator of all their monkey business. His loyal sidekick, Worry Bear, has a very high IQ and is the group's peacemaker, and he's talked into many of Julius Jr.'s crazy schemes, even though he's a bit of a fusspot. Worry Bear's cousin, Ping the Panda, is the youngest of the group, but has a talent for seeing simple truths and obvious solutions. Ping idolizes Sheree, a tomboy feline with a tutu, who is keen on sparkles, meticulously detail-oriented, ambitious, and she digs singing with the band. They're joined by Clancy, the world's smallest giraffe, who is Julius Jr.'s most enthusiastic fan and thinks that all of the inventions and hair-brained schemes are pure genius. Each 30-minute episode features two stories, including: the gang helping a millipede achieve his dream of flying like a butterfly, teaching them to accept themselves without giving up on their dreams; Julius Jr. inventing a robot to replace Worry Bear's favorite toy, Rocky the sock monkey, after Ping misplaces it, teaching them you cannot replace a loved one so easily; and many more educational and inspirational stories with Julius Jr.'s inventions at the center.
