Plot Synopsis

Inspired by the gritty, competitive proving grounds of the comedy-club circuit, JEFF ROSS PRESENTS ROAST BATTLE is led by Roastmaster General Jeff Ross and referee/comedian Brian Moses, who reign over this Thunderdome-of-comedy bracket-style tournament, which was filmed live in four nights at the Just For Laughs festival in Montreal. Anthony Jeselnik, Jimmy Kimmel, Sarah Silverman and David Spade serve as celebrity judges, deciding the fate of 16 insult-comedy combatants during the four one-hour episodes airing on July 28-31 at 10pm ET/PT on Comedy Central. Fans can visit RoastBattle.com to track the tournament bracket and watch highlight clips from each night's battles, and can join the social conversation on Twitter by using the hashtag #RoastBattle. First round matchups are: Jimmy Carr vs. Christi Chiello; Earl Skakel vs. Tom Ballard; Mark Normand vs. Tony Hinchcliffe; Steve Rannazzisi vs. Sam Morril; Ralphie May vs. Ms. Pat; Matthew Broussard vs. Mike Lawrence; Sarah Tiana vs. Chris Cubas; and Olivia Grace vs. K. Trevor Wilson. On Sunday, July 24, 2016 at Midnight ET/PT, Comedy Central premiered "Road to Roast Battle," a one-hour special that takes the live show on the road, touching down in Chicago, Austin, New York and its home base of Los Angeles. The comedians face off in front of judges, including Dave Attell, Hannibal Buress and of course Jeff Ross. The second season of this series, titled ROAST BATTLE II, premiered on Sunday, January 1, 2017 at 11pm ET/PT on Comedy Central. In the season opener, "New York Regionals," J.P. McDade battles Yamaneika Saunders, Scott Chaplain takes on his friend Eli Sairs, and Kerryn Feehan battles boyfriend Luis J. Gomez at New York City's famed Comedy Cellar in the first of four regional competitions. Subsequent episodes feature regional competitions in Atlanta, Denver and Los Angeles, culminating with a four-part main event airing from January 26-29. Season 3 of JEFF ROSS PRESENTS ROAST BATTLE premiered on Sunday, July 29, 2018 at Midnight on Comedy Central with a new format: tossing out the bracket-style tournament to focus more on the head to head insult battles between some of today's top comedians. Each episode features two battles per show, as the comedians try to impress a panel of judges that includes Nikki Glaser, Anthony Jeselnik, and Jeff Ross. Additionally, this season the Roastmaster General is stepping on stage to go to battle with a giant among men, NBA All-Star Blake Griffin. Comedians doing battle include Todd Barry, Pat Barker, Nicole Becannon, Matthew Broussard, Keith Carey, Kim Congdon, Alex Duong, Joe Eurell, Olivia Grace, Tony Hinchcliffe, Jerron Horton, Mike Lawrence, Joe List, Joe Machi, Connor McSpadden, Sam Morril, Jamar Neighbors, Mark Normand, Eli Sairs, Yamaneika Saunders, Jason Sklar, Randy Sklar, Sarah Tiana, Sarah Tollemache, Robin Tran, Brendon Walsh, and WWE wrestler Dolph Ziggler.
