Plot Synopsis

Created by Simon Kinberg and David Weil, INVASION is a sci-fi drama series that follows an alien invasion through different perspectives around the world. The story opens with strange and unexplainable events beginning to unfold across the globe, as a small-town sheriff senses something bigger is at play. Amid the chao, Aneesha makes a difficult decision for the sake of her family, Navy SEAL Trevante investigates a distress call with his team, and Mitsuki takes desperate measures to uncover the truth. The first three episodes of INVASION dropped on October 22, 2021, followed by a new episode each Friday through December 10.

The sophomore season of INVASION premiered on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 on Apple TV+, which released the first episode of the new season. A new installment debuted weekly on Wednesdays through October 25. Season 2 picks up just months later with the aliens escalating their attacks in an all-out war against the humans. In the season opener, "Something's Changed," Mitsuki is taken to an alien ship in the Amazon jungle. Aneesha and her children take refuge with a group called the Movement.
