Plot Synopsis

David Steinberg sits down for one-on-one interviews with the biggest names in the history of comedy, discussing the art of comedy, evolution of the genre and their ascension to the top echelons of the field. Guests for the first season included comedy greats from the '50s and today, including Chris Rock, Larry David, Don Rickles, Martin Short, Sarah Silverman, Jerry Seinfeld, Mel Brooks, Jonathan Winters, Steve Carell, Jane Lynch, Billy Crystal, Brad Garrett, Garry Shandling, Carl Reiner, Tim Conway, Ellen DeGeneres, Kathy Griffin, Steven Wright, and Robin Williams. Season 2, which premiered on Monday, February 11, 2013 at 11pm ET on Showtime, featured: Louis C.K., Bob Newhart, Judd Apatow, Tina Fey, Drew Carey, Martin Mull, Steve Martin, Lily Tomlin, Jim Carrey, Keenen Ivory Wayans, Will Ferrell, Betty White, Susie Essman, Carol Burnett and more. INSIDE COMEDY returned for a third season on Monday, February 3, 2014, with these guests for Season 3; Jimmy Fallon, Zach Galifianakis, Alan Arkin, Richard Belzer, Andrew Dice Clay, Bob Einstein, Gilbert Gottfried, Jonah Hill, Eric Idle, Richard Lewis, Garry Marshall, Keegan Michael Key & Jordan Peele, Bette Midler, Larry Miller, Kevin Nealon, Catherine O'Hara, Kevin Pollack, Bob Saget, Fred Willard, and Dick Van Dyke. INSIDE COMEDY returned for its fourth season on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at 11pm ET/PT on Showtime.
