Plot Synopsis

John Besh is a New Orleans-based chef who is a James Beard Award winner and owner of six acclaimed restaurants (August, Besh Steak, Luke, La Provence, American Sector, and Domenica), all of which celebrate the bounty and traditions of the region. In this series, he travels across America to help people create simple and exciting dinners and improve the way Americans eat -- one kitchen at a time. John's goal is simple, he wants people to commit to cooking just a few days a week, and he helps them by sharing tips and recipes, improving the way they cook, and changing the way they think about food. How does John choose which kitchens to visit? Friends and families nominate someone who thinks they can cook, but really can't.
