Plot Synopsis

FIXER UPPER star Joanna Gaines spends time in the kitchen sharing her favorite recipes, where they come from, and why she finds herself returning to them time and time again.

On Sunday, April 5, 2020 from Noon-1pm ET/PT, Food Network premiered "In the Kitchen with Joanna Gaines," a one-hour special to preview Joanna's then-unnamed cooking show. In this one-hour event, Joanna brings viewers into her kitchen as she makes family favorites -- zucchini bread, chili, chocolate chip cookies to name a few. The program was partly filmed by her children, and the recipes for each family fave appears in her second cookbook, "Magnolia Table Vol. 2," scheduled to be released on April 7 -- two days after the special debuted.

On Sunday, January 3, 2021 -- one day before the launch of discovery+ -- Food Network debuted a one-hour "making of" special (7pm) and two sneak-peek episodes (8-9pm) of the series. In "The Making of Magnolia Table with Joanna Gaines" (7pm), Chip and Joanna Gaines share how Joanna's new cooking show came to life. Then, in "discovery+ 1st Look: A Family Tradition" (8pm), Joanna shares a cherished family favorite -- Grandpa Stevens' classic Lebanese dish, fatayer, served with a Lebanese salad, hummus and baklava for dessert. After finishing up, Joanna surprises her dad with the leftovers of his favorite meal. The night closes with "discovery+ 1st Look: A Friendsgiving Feast" (8:30pm), as Joanna shares one of her favorite meals to make as the seasons change -- a rich and delicious Friendsgiving casserole, cranberry sauce, green beans amandine and cherry almond crisp for dessert.

One day later, MAGNOLIA TABLE WITH JOANNA GAINES had its official series debut on Monday, January 4, 2021 on discovery+, the same day the streaming service launched. Three new episodes ("A Family Tradition" & "A Friendsgiving Feast" & "Homemade Comfort Food") debuted on the first day, along with the special, "the Making of Magnolia Table." A new episode debuts weekly thereafter.

MAGNOLIA TABLE WITH JOANNA GAINES made its linear television debut with back-to-back episodes on Sunday, January 9, 2022 from 1-2pm ET on Magnolia Network.

Season 2 of MAGNOLIA TABLE WITH JOANNA GAINES launched on Friday, April 9, 2021, as discovery+ released the first episode. In the season opener, "Brunch," Joanna cooks up sweet and savory brunch staples like kale and bacon hash brown casserole, French toast crunch, garlic cheese grits, and a blended peach surprise. New episodes debut each Friday. This season made its linear television debut on Sunday, April 3, 2022 at 1pm ET on Magnolia Network.

The third season of MAGNOLIA TABLE WITH JOANNA GAINES dropped on Thursday, July 15, 2021 on discovery+ and the Magnolia Network app, the day the new app launched. In the season opener, "Sunday Pot Roast," with a little help from her kids, Joanna prepares her family's Sunday night dinner featuring pot roast, a braided bread, romaine salad with buttermilk ranch dressing and warm apple pie.

Season 4 of MAGNOLIA TABLE WITH JOANNA GAINES kicked off on Friday, October 29, 2021 on the Magnolia Network app and discovery+. In the season opener, "Lunch. Al Fresco," Joanna prepares an Italian meal for a lunch date with Chip.

MAGNOLIA TABLE WITH JOANNA GAINES returned for its fifth season on Friday, February 4, 2022, as the Magnolia Network app released the first episode of the new season. In the season opener, "Burgers and Fries," Joanna puts her spin on an all-American classic meal: burgers and fries. Season 5 of MAGNOLIA TABLE made its linear television debut on Sunday, November 6, 2022 at 1pm ET/PT on Magnolia Network.

The sixth season of MAGNOLIA TABLE WITH JOANNA GAINES debuted on Friday, June 17, 2022 on the Magnolia Network app. In the season opener, "Peaches and Pork Chops," Joanna prepares a peach-themed menu made from peaches she grew on her farm. Season 6 made its linear television debut on Sunday, March 26, 2023 at 1pm ET/PT on Magnolia Network.

On Friday, November 4, 2022, MAGNOLIA TABLE WITH JOANNA GAINES returned for its seventh season on the Magnolia App, which released the first episode of the new season. A new installment dropped weekly on Fridays through December 9.

Season 7 of MAGNOLIA TABLE WITH JOANNA GAINES made its linear television debut on Sunday, June 4, 2023 at 1pm ET/PT on Magnolia Network. In the season opener, "Homemade Pasta," Joanna challenges herself with a "from scratch" menu including Homemade Pasta with Vodka Sauce, Stuffed Mushrooms, and a Coffee Gelato she puts in Chocolate Dipped Waffle Cones. And Chip makes himself available for taste-testing.
