Plot Synopsis

HOLLYWOOD EXES follows a group of women, who have been friends for years, as they adjust to life without their former superstar husbands. These women want to show the world they are more than just a trophy wife with a pretty face; they want to establish themselves as independent, successful women and bring relevance and honor to themselves separate from their very famous exes -- especially since they lived in the shadows of their very famous husbands, making them feel like they weren't necessarily as important as their husbands' careers. Season 1 of this series starred: Nicole Murphy, ex wife of Eddie Murphy after 13 years of marriage, who was engaged to retired professional football player Michael Strahan and had been busy looking after her five kids -- but with two of those kids already out of the house, she was ready to start focusing more on herself and restarting her modeling career; Jessica Canseco, ex wife of Jose Canseco after four years of marriage, who was running her cosmetic and medical tattooing business in Beverly Hills and raising her fifteen-year-old daughter with Jose; Sheree Fletcher, ex wife of Will Smith after three years of marriage, who was remarried to former professional football player-turned-pastor Terrell Fletcher and was the First Lady of her new husband's Multi-Cultural Christian Ministry; Mayte Garcia, ex wife of Prince after three years of marriage, who was living with her Puerto Rican mother, 7 dogs, 2 cats and 4 birds but still desperately wanted a child; and Andrea 'Drea' Kelly, ex wife of R. Kelly after 12 years of marriage, who had recently moved to Los Angeles from Chicago and was emotionally raw and still reeling from her divorce.

The 13-episode second season, which debuted on Monday, July 8, 2013 at 10pm ET/PT, opened with Drea and Jessica having it out after some choice words Jessica shared with Drea on Twitter. In Season 2, the girls were joined by Shamicka Lawrence, recently divorced from comedian/actor Martin Lawrence. Plus, Jessica struggled with being the single mom of a rebellious teenager and Mayte made plans to adopt a one-year-old baby. VH1 aired a sneak-peek preview of this series on Monday, June 25, 2012 at 10pm ET/PT, two days before its official series premiere on Wednesday, June 27, 2012.

HOLLYWOOD EXES returned for its third season on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at 9pm ET/PT, with Shanna Moakler (ex-wife of BLINK-182's Travis Barker) joining returning cast members Nicole Murphy, Mayte Garcia, Sheree Fletcher, Andrea Kelly, Jessica Canseco, and Shamicka Lawrence. Actress/model Moakler is a former Miss USA, and best known for the MTV reality series MEET THE BARKERS. In the Season 3 opener, the girls welcome Shanna to the sisterhood as they gather for brunch at Nicole's house when Drea finally reappears after having ignored her friends' texts and phone calls for the past several months. But the event turns sour when Mayte suddenly erupts, leaving her friendship with Nicole in tatters.
On Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at 8pm ET/PT, VH1 premiered "Hollywood Exes: Reunited," immediately following an eight-hour marathon (Noon-8pm) of encore episodes. Almost 6.5 years since the last episode of HOLLYWOOD EXES, the ladies gather for a look back at the show that brought them all together, and fill fans in on what has happened since the cameras stopped rolling. The special features Andrea Kelly (ex-wife of R-Kelly), Nicole Murphy (ex of Eddie Murphy), Mayte Garcia (ex-wife of Prince), Shamicka Lawrence (ex-wife of Martin Lawrence), Shanna Moakler (ex-wife of Travis Barker) and Sheree Zampino (ex-wife of Will Smith).
