Plot Synopsis

Thirteen year-old Holly Hobbie lives with her family in Collinsville, a picture perfect North American small town with main-street values. Each episode follows Holly trying to make the world a better place, while tackling the everyday challenges of growing up -- from bullies to breakouts, crushes to curfews. In the series opener, "The Show Starter," after finding out that her grandma's cafe might have to close for good, Holly attempts to save the beloved family business by hosting an Open Mic. On Friday, November 16, 2018 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Hulu released 10 episodes of this tween drama series.

The 10-episode sophomore season of HOLLY HOBBIE premiered on Friday, November 22, 2019 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, as Hulu released the entire new season. In Season 2, Holly's life begins to get more complicated (Boys! Bullies! Breakouts! Biology tests!) and so does her music. Holly continues to use her life as a source of inspiration for her songs but this season, for the first time, some people don't like what she has to say. When Holly's attempt to deal with the haters backfires, Holly wonders if some topics are off limits. Like, can she write about her crush on Tyler? Her friends? What about her family? And if she does, can she handle the consequences? All this second-guessing triggers a serious case of writer's block and spirals Holly into a big ol' funk which is further exacerbated when Holly meets another talented musician who isn't afraid to express himself. As Holly starts to collaborate with him she finds her voice again -- but is she ready to share it with a bigger audience? Season 2 of HOLLY HOBBIE made its linear television debut on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at 7:30pm ET/PT on BYUtv.

HOLLY HOBBIE returned for its third season on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, as Hulu released the entire 10-episode new season. After her dad gets into a car accident, Holly launches a social media career to help pay for his medical bills. At first, Holly loves her newfound fame: she's gaining followers, making money, and is her own boss! Although social media begins to pay well, Holly begins to experience the consequences of living so much of her life online. Holly finds the more she focuses on 'posting', the less time she has to make actual music. Things go from bad to worse when Holly's new career distances her from her friends. As Holly realizes the impact she has on her younger fans, she begins to discover that with great fame comes great responsibility. Holly finds herself torn when she's pulled between friends, family, her boyfriend, and her career all at once! Holly starts confronting big questions about whether she can have it all. Can she be a supportive friend if she is truly dedicated to her music career? Can Holly break out as great musician if she's held back by her life in Collinsville? Just when Holly thinks she's got a grasp on things, she's forced to choose between family or her career when a once in a lifetime opportunity presents itself...
