Plot Synopsis

Each year since 1997, HGTV has given away a dream home to one lucky person. HGTV DREAM HOME is an annual, one-hour special that highlights that year's new house, taking viewers on a guided tour of the property just shortly after the giveaway period opens for entries. Until 2003, DREAM HOME aired in February -- even competing with coverage of the Super Bowl in 2002 -- but HGTV has presented this annual special on New Year's Day ever since. The one-hour HGTV DREAM HOME 2024 special premiered on Monday, January 1, 2024 at 6pm ET/PT, featuring a grand coastal escape packed with high-end design, located on Anastasia Island, Florida. Inspired by coastal charm, the fully furnished, 3-bed, 4-bath home draws on the rich history of America's oldest city to bring a relaxing retreat to life. Brian Patrick Flynn is the HGTV DREAM HOME 2024 designer and tour guide.

This year's winner will take home a grand-prize package valued at over $2.2 million, including the HGTV Dream Home 2024, an all-new E-Class from Mercedes-Benz, and $100,000 cash.
