Plot Synopsis

Six of the most memorable designers from past seasons of HGTV DESIGN STAR return for a chance at redemption, as they compete in elimination challenges for the opportunity to appear on an HGTV show and $25,000. In this four-episode series, these designers compete in challenges like: designing a room that completely represents their design perspective using the resources provided in the showrooms of the world-famous Pacific Design Center in Los Angeles; decorating homes made of shipping containers; updating two living rooms inspired by the beloved 1980's sitcom THE FACTS OF LIFE; and transforming two spaces in the home of Jonathan Roberts and Anna Trebunskya, professional dancers on DANCING WITH THE STARS. Contestants include: Kellie Clements (Season 6; Edmond, OK), who has more than 11 years of professional experience as a designer with a residential builder and was voted "fan favorite" on DESIGN STAR; Leslie Ezelle (Season 6; Dallas, TX), a former Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader, who helps clients "tame their domain" and believes that a stress-free, organized home offers the happiest and healthiest environment; Josh Johnson 'Sparkle Josh' (Season 2; West Hollywood, CA), whose design philosophy pairs livable elegance with functional luxury and glamour, as he uses his 16 years of experience in music, fashion and interior design; Tom Vecchione, (Season 5; New York City, NY), who regularly oversees projects for international clientele, many with building budgets in excess of $100 million; Dan Vickery (Season 5; Los Angeles, CA), who was the first ever DESIGN STAR "fan favorite" and hosted his own web series on HGTV.com, where he gave helpful tips on designing creative spaces for children; and Hilari Younger (Season 7; Dallas, TX), who says she loves reviving vintage looks and defines her style as an eclectic mix of ethnic modern and ornate glamour. Judges for the series are Genevieve Gorder and Vern Yip, with the following guest judges: Emily Procter (CSI: MIAMI); Mindy Cohn (THE FACTS OF LIFE); Monica Pedersen (BANG FOR YOUR BUNK; HOUSE HUNTERS WORLD TOUR) and Carter Oosterhouse (MILLION DOLLAR ROOMS).
