Plot Synopsis

In each one-hour episode of HELLEVATOR, a team of three friends rides a haunted elevator into various levels of an abandoned building, as they try to survive each level and win up to $50,000 while horror-film icons Jen and Sylvia Soska (aka Twisted Twins) pull the strings behind the scenes of the game. After the elevator moves, one player gets out on each floor and tries to conquer a frightening challenge in order to earn money for the team. If they don't make it back in time, the elevator moves to the next floor without them. The surviving contestants then work as a team in the final challenge, where they face their most difficult and terrifying experience in a mad-dash race to accumulate cash. In the series opener, three friends from USC (aka Team YOLO) take on a series of challenges that Albert Highbee, a greedy Undertaker, has in store for them from the depths of this abandoned slaughterhouse. Then, in the second episode, three adrenaline junkies take on horrifying challenges inside a condemned institute for the criminally insane run by the monstrously sadistic Head Nurse Brixton and populated by crazed and untreatable patients in the Asylum. Season 2 of HELLEVATOR premiered on Friday, October 7, 2016 at 9pm ET/PT on GSN. In the new season, teams of four friends dare to ride a haunted elevator into the depths of an abandoned slaughterhouse, where they must conquer multiple floors of gruesome chaos and hair-raising challenges in order to move on to the final level -- The Inferno -- for a chance at winning up to $50,000. Each one-hour episode of Season 2 features a theme inspired by a true crime story, emulating a grisly scene by of of the Seven Deadly Sins: Pride, Envy, Gluttony, Lust, Wrath, Greed, and Sloth. Psychological terror and torment await, at the hands of the Soska Twins, who work in tandem to torture players as they struggle to remain sane. In the season opener, "Gluttons for Punishment," four chefs take on horrifying challenges that the greedy pig butcher Earl Pickett has in store for them from the depths of this abandoned slaughterhouse.

On Friday, October 28, 2016 at 9pm ET/PT, GSN premiered the Season 2 finale of HELLEVATOR. In the season ender, "Blood, Sweat & Cheer," four Anaheim Ducks cheerleaders try to defeat the frightening challenges, based on a true crime, that a murderous former Squad Coach has planned for them.
