Plot Synopsis

Hollywood stars and starlets from the '80s and '90s reunite on screen in stories about real-life dreamboats who turned into total nightmares. Using re-creations along with first-person interviews and behind-the-scenes commentary from the actual people involved, HEARTBREAKERS takes true stories ripped from the headlines to show what really happens when the perfect catch turns out to be the perfect criminal. Each one-hour episode chronicles the story of a different heartbreaker, including: Hurley Fontenot (Christopher Knight), the principal of a junior high shool in Texas in the 1980s, who leaves his wife to be with the young school clerk, Laura Nugent (Tracey Gold), who was swept off her feet by the new football coach, Billy Mac Fleming (Antonio Sabato Jr.); Pastor David 'Brother' Love (Jack Wagner), who gets too close to the wife (Jamie Luner) of Randy Stone (Rob Estes), a loyal church member in a community outside of Kansas City in 2000; and David Russell Miller (Judd Nelson), a wealthy businessman, and Jayne (Nicole Eggert), a beautiful single mother, who separately boarded a flight from Orlando to Los Angeles on New Year's Day 1991 and were married six weeks later, but private investigator Bob Brown (Kevin Sorbo) makes some starling discoveries.
