Plot Synopsis

HAUL THIS HOUSE is a half-hour docuseries that follows the larger-than-life exploits of the Nickel Brothers -- a Vancouver-based multigenerational family business that specialize in buying houses set for demolition, re-selling them to homeowners who want a home on the waterfront at a reasonable price, and then hauling these massive structures via truck and barge to their hard-to-reach-destinations. As picturesque as the Pacific Northwest is, these roads are also loaded with obstacles -- pitch black nights, hanging power lines, massive hills, tight roads and even sinking landscapes present only a few of the challenges they'll face. On Monday, December 14, 2020 from 9-10pm ET/PT, FYI premiered back-to-back new episodes:

"Dream Forest House" (9pm): After living in a trailer for three years, waiting to build a dream house on his off-the-grid 5-acre woodland plot in British Columbia, a father has opted to go for a cheaper, greener option. He's called the Nickel Brothers, who have found him a 2-bedroom single story house. Unfortunately it's sitting over 100 miles away in their storage yard in Victoria, Vancouver Island. Now the Nickel crew has to deal with harsh winter temperatures, and the difficulty of maneuvering the ultra-wide load through steep, narrow and muddy roads to keep this house trucking along.

"Classic Craftsman House" (9:30pm): A young father has been gifted a plot of land for his wife and son from his own father on their traditional tribal First Nation Cowichan land. Unable to afford to build their own home, they've spotted a single story 3-bedroom house in the Nickel Brothers storage yard. The Nickel crew face a herculean task battling road signs, overhead wires and narrow roads in pitch black conditions to deliver the family's new home safe and sound.
