Plot Synopsis

Set in 1960s New York when Louise Fitzhugh's original book was published, HARRIET THE SPY is an animated series that follows the outspoken and perpetually curious 11-year-old Harriet M. Welsch. More than anything, Harriet wants to be a writer, and in order to be a good writer, she'll need to know everything. And to know everything means she'll need to spy ... on everyone. The first five episodes dropped on Friday, November 19, 2021 on Apple TV+. Australian singer-songwriter Courtney Barnett wrote and performs the original theme song for the series. On Friday, May 20, 2022, Apple TV+ released the final five episodes of HARRIET THE SPY's first season. In the mid-season premiere, "Face the Music," Janie and Harriet get to meet their favorite singer, only to discover a shocking truth about his music.
