Plot Synopsis

Each year since 2010, Beringer Vineyards in Napa Valley has held an annual event in which a select group of amateur chefs from around the country go head-to-head for a cash prize, all to see who has the best steak recipe, paired with a Beringer wine. Hosts Bobby and Jamie Deen lead a panel of experts that crown America's best backyard griller. For THE GREAT STEAK CHALLENGE 3 -- which Beringer Vineyards hosted in late 2012 but Cooking Channel didn't present until Thursday, June 6 2013 at 8:30pm ET -- eight finalists vied for the $25,000 prize by cooking up dishes for this expert panel of judges: Chef G. Garvin, Helen Mackey, Chef Thomas Dritsas and Laurie Hook. Past winners are:
Lisa Keys (1st annual) won $10,000 by beating nine other finalists with her Boston-style steak and wine wraps.
Kristen Davis (2nd) won $25,000 by beating nine other finalists with her Thai lemongrass tenderloin skewers.
