Plot Synopsis

Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May host THE GRAND TOUR, a weekly series about adventure, excitement and friendship...and sometimes even cars. They're joined by driver Mike Skinner (aka The American), who tests the cars on a test track called the Eboladrome. In the series premiere, "The Holy Trinity," the trio start their brand new car show with hundreds of cars, thousands of people, a fire spitting metal scorpion and a squadron of jets in the California desert, plus three amazing hybrid hypercars and a brilliant BMW. The episode was filmed in Los Angeles, with the following special guests: Jerome d'Ambrosio, Armie Hammer, Jeremy Renner, and Carol Vorderman.

Season 2 of THE GRAND TOUR premiered on Friday, December 8, 2017, as Amazon released the first episode of the new season at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT. Subsequent episodes will be released weekly, exclusively for Prime members. Each week this season, two celebrities, who are connected in some unusual way, are pitted against each other to see who is fastest around the new track in all new Celebrity Face Off. For Season 2, Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May have filmed across five continents, visiting more places than ever before including Croatia, Mozambique, Dubai, Spain, Switzerland, Colorado and New York with their giant studio tent being given a permanent home in the Cotswolds. In the season opener, "Past, Present or Future," the trio are in Switzerland where they compare a Lamborghini Aventador S, a Honda NSX and an all-electric Croatian supercar called the Rimac Concept One in a battle of past, present and future. Richard's hillclimb takes an unexpected turn. And Ricky Wilson of THE VOICE UK and David Hasselhoff from AMERICA'S GOT TALENT go head-to-head in the Celebrity Face Off. Subsequent episodes features these celebrity guest stars: Luke Evans, Kiefer Sutherland, Hugh Bonneville, Kevin Pietersen, Dominic Cooper, Dynamo, Rory Mcllroy, Michael Ball, Alfie Boe and more.

The third season of THE GRAND TOUR, featuring Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May, premiered on Friday, January 18, 2019 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, as Amazon releases the first episode of the new season. For Season 3, the trio have filmed around the world, causing more chaos than ever before as they travel through tricky terrains in Colombia, Mongolia, China, Detroit and...London's Stansted Airport, while their giant studio tent remains back home in Jeremy's garden in the Cotswolds. A new episode is released each Friday.

On Friday, December 18, 2020, Amazon Prime released the "The Grand Tour Presents...A Massive Hunt," a 90-minute GRAND TOUR special. The intrepid trio find themselves back on four wheels for their latest adventure. Armed with sports cars, Richard, James and Jeremy think they are in for a cushy road trip as they arrive on the exotic island of Reunion and race on the world's most expensive piece of tarmac. But a bizarre challenge propels them to Madagascar where they must tackle the world's toughest road.

"The Grand Tour Presents...Lochdown," a 90-minute GRAND TOUR special, dropped on Friday, July 30, 2021 on Amazon Prime Video. What did Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May do during the pandemic? Well, they took some classic American cars and went on a grand tour adventure through the Scottish coastal roads. There are overheated engines, shouting, plenty of tea, and a whole load of classic car chaos.

Amazon Prime Video released "The Grand Tour Presents...Carnage a Trois," a 68-minute GRAND TOUR special, on Friday, December 17, 2021. In this second Lockdown Special, the trio dive into the bizarre world of French car culture. On an epic road trip starting in the Welsh hills, they dish up a hair raising mountain climb, bomb defusals, propellor powered cars, helicopter stunts and the most thrilling race of their lives before reaching the English Channel for a jaw dropping medieval climax. And a soupcon of French art house cinema.

"The Grand Tour Presents: A Scandi Flick" dropped on Friday, September 16, 2022 on Prime Video. In the first episode of Season 5 and their first post-pandemic road trip, Jeremy, Richard and James head for the icy wastes of the Scandinavian Arctic Circle. At the wheel of their three favorite rally cars the boys embark on a catastrophe-filled adventure that takes in Cold War submarine bases -- frozen lake racetracks, crashes and ski resort chaos as they drag their homemade houses from the coast of Norway to the Russian Border.

On Friday, June 16, 2023, Prime Video released "Eurocrash," a 106-minute GRAND TOUR special. Jeremy, Richard and James head to Central Europe on a road trip nobody has ever thought of, in cars nobody would ever dream of. This epic 1400-mile journey takes them from Gdansk in Poland, through Slovakia, Hungary and Slovenia. They sample some Soviet style Formula 1, are attacked by deadly archers, recruit a famous racing driver and take part in a spectacular Fast and Furious climax.

"The Grand Tour: Sand Job," a 135-minute GRAND TOUR special, debuted on Friday, February 16, 2024 on Prime Video. In the remote African country of Mauritania, the trio follow in the footsteps of the legendary Paris-Dakar rally. Instead of bespoke Dakar racers, the boys must complete their journey in cheap modified sports cars. Their journey begins with the world's longest train and sees them tackle the killer Sahara and perilous river crossings, whilst protecting their precious fuel bowser from exploding.
