Plot Synopsis

THE GOOD KARMA HOSPITAL is a medical drama series that follows doctor Ruby Walker, who travels from England to India looking for a job and a distraction from a bad breakup. Arriving at an under-resourced hospital, Ruby must learn to cope with her eccentric patients and coworkers at The Good Karma Hospital, which is located in a colorful coastal town in southern India.

Season 3 of THE GOOD KARMA HOSPITAL had its U.S. premiere on Monday, November 11, 2019 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, as Acorn TV release the entire six-episode new season. This season, several big new arrivals cause a stir. The team faces their most shocking case yet when one of their own nursing team survives a violent attack. Dr. Ruby Walker faces a tricky dilemma over where her home lies -- with her newly-found Indian family, or at the bustling hospital. It's complicated further by her simmering relationship with Dr. Gabriel Varma. The third season also introduces viewers to a visiting Brit, Ted Dalrymple, an older man on a mission to find a love from his past. The series goes to darker places than ever before, but it is through the bonds of family and friendship -- rekindled and strengthened over the series -- that the team weather their biggest challenges yet.

On Monday, March 21, 2022, the fourth season of THE GOOD KARMA HOSPITAL made its U.S. debut, as Acorn TV released the first two episodes of the new season. In the season opener, Lydia is forced to admit a highly contagious Nipah patient into her hospital when Ruby and new British Asian doctor Samir break protocol in the fight to save the girl's life. Ram is livid when he discovers that new headstrong trainee doctor, Dr. Niki Sharma, has ignored him and broken patient confidentiality. Greg helps two holidaymakers, but his good deed lands him in trouble with the law.
