Plot Synopsis

Dan Stark, an old-school cop, and Jack Bailey, a modern-day detective, are partners in the Property Crimes Division, assigned to investigate seemingly minor crimes in order to keep them out of major trouble. If it were only that easy. Dan was once a big-shot Dallas detective in the 1970s. An American hero. Thirty years later, he's a washed-up detective who spends most of his time drunk or re-hashing his glory days. A stranger to modern police work, he would much rather trust his old-school police instincts. Jack is an ambitious, by-the-book and overall good detective, but is sometimes a bit too snarky for his own good. His habit of undermining himself has earned him a dead-end position in the department, and he is stuck solving annoying petty theft cases that nobody else wants. And now he has to babysit Dan. Jack's only ally is Assistant District Attorney Liz Traynor, a quick witted former girlfriend whom he hasn't quite gotten over and the one person he turns to for help with his current professional predicament. FOX airs a preview of this series on May 19, 2010 with its official premiere on June 7, 2010.
