Plot Synopsis

After being selected during a nationwide search, a group of talented performers compete in elimination challenges, with the winner earning a multi-episode guest starring role on GLEE. Robert Ulrich, the casting director for GLEE, reviewed thousands of entries and submissions to find worthy competitors with a range of backgrounds and strengths. These hopefuls participate in workshops, complete GLEE-themed assignments and face call backs -- all while GLEE's casting director, choreographer and vocal producer look for the next face and voice of GLEE. Ryan Murphy, the creator and executive producer of GLEE, joins the judges in the final deliberations of each installment of the series, and GLEE series regulars appear as guest mentors. At the end of Season 1, the judges selected two winners, Samuel Larsen and Damian McGinty Jr., to be new GLEE cast members, Joseph and Rory, respectively. Plus, they gave two runners up the opportunity to each appear in two episodes of GLEE.
