Plot Synopsis

Hosted by Matt Oberg with Johnny Mountain and Jillian Barberie as judges, FUNNY OR DIE PRESENTS AMERICA'S NEXT WEATHERMAN is a one-hour reality series that features 12 wanna-be weathercasters and meteorologists vying for $100,000, an agent, and an appearance forecasting the national weather on CNN's morning show NEW DAY. Although the stakes are real, the classic reality show elements -- from the physical challenges to the dramatic vote-offs -- are tweaked in a way that only Funny Or Die can do. The 12 competitors are: Jenn Barlow (age 28; San Diego, CA), who has seven years experience as a television reporter and host; Mackenzie Bart (23; Columbus, OH), Miss Ohio 2014, who is currently working on her degree in atmospheric science; David Collins (34; Deland, FL), a Navy veteran, who graduated at the top of his meteorology class and spent four years as an operational weather briefer; Aubrey Evans (25; Las Vegas, NV), a model and skilled ice skater, who has an abundance of life experience to bring to the competition; Christina Faraone (26; Waldwn, NY), a Marine meteorologist technician whose master's thesis was on the role of weather in aviation; Jeff Forgeron (25; San Diego, CA), who has a degree in meteorology and is an Associated Press writer for Weather Underground; Ron Hillard (28; Detroit, MI), who is a news intern and SKYWARN-trained weather spotter with a degree in the interdisciplinary humanities of communications, theater and Spanish; Drew Logan (26; Westlake Village, CA), a pastor and former college football player, who recently completed his master's degree; Frank Margini (32; Old Tappan, NJ), who is a fitness trainer and former member of Air Force with a degree in criminal justice and only 5% body fat; Miller Robson (42; Columbus, GA), a former wrestler and local meteorologist/anchor, who is working toward a degree in meteorology; Michelle Rotella (27; Germantown, MD), a meteorologist, who graduated from high school at 16 before earning a bachelor's degree in meteorology; and Jennifer 'Jazzy T' Williams (32; Buffalo, NY), who is a radio personality with 10 years of on-air experience and a degree in telecommunications and digital media arts.

On Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 11pm ET/PT, TBS premiered the season finale of AMERICA'S NEXT WEATHERMAN. The final three weathercasters -- Mackenzie Bart, Miller Robson, and Christina Faraone -- must survive an "Ultimate Cast Off," produce a field piece at the beach without the help of a crew, and go on a very unusual job interview with special guest Michaela Pereira. One will win $100,000, an agent, and an appearance forecasting the weather on CNN's NEW DAY.
