Plot Synopsis

Based on Justine Marino and Heidi Heaslet's live show, "Stand Up 2 the Streets," which they developed at The World Famous Comedy Store, THE FUNNY DANCE SHOW is a one-hour series that showcases what can happen when some of the funniest -- and sometimes rhythmically challenged -- comedians become dancing competitors. Hosted by Heaslet and Marino, each 60-minute episode features two teams of comedians who work with professional choreographers and an entourage of backup dancers to try and perfect their steps ahead of a series of dance-offs. Come showtime, the comedians try not to literally break a leg while performing for a live club audience and three judges -- Loni Love, Allison Holker, and Justin Martindale -- all in an effort to win $10,000 for a charity of their choice. The teams taking to the stage include: Jessimae Peluso and Flula Borg vs. Candice Thompson and Maz Jobrani (series premiere); Jade Catta-Preta and Marcella Arguello vs. Daniel Franzese and Irene Choi; Fortune Feimster and Willie Hunter vs. Fahim Anwar and Becky Robinson; Ron Funches and Blair Socci vs. Adam Ray and Brad Williams; Kel Mitchell and Carly Jibson vs. Yamaneika Saunders and Jeremiah Watkins, and more.

On Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at 11pm ET/PT, E! premiered the season finale of THE FUNNY DANCE SHOW. In the season ender, "I'm Picking Up Hood Vibrations," comedians Guy Branum and Kerry Coddett face off against Esther Povitsky and Tony Cavalero in a comedy dance battle to win $10,000 for charity, and to see what happens when a funeral meets food porn.
