Plot Synopsis

This annual special highlights that year's most outrageous, zaniest and laugh-out-loud television ads from around the world, many being shown for the first time on American television. For the first eight years (2004-2011), TBS broadcast a new special each year between mid and late December, highlighting commercials from earlier the same year. For the next two installments, the special moved to truTV, which aired the program early January (2013 & 2014), featuring ads from the previous year. Then, FUNNIEST COMMERCIALS OF THE YEAR moved to Spike TV in mid-December 2014, where it has aired since.

On Thursday, December 17, 2015 at 10pm ET/PT, Spike TV premiered FUNNIEST COMMERCIALS OF THE YEAR: 2015, hosted by Gabriel Iglesias, who counted down the top 10 funniest commercials of the year from around the world -- from cats wearing gold bling to cars utilizing male-enhancing drugs.
