Plot Synopsis

FIX MY FRANKENHOUSE is a one-hour docuseries that follows Boston-based home renovation experts Denese and Mike Butler, who work with their dads -- master carpenters John Butler and Peter Doyle -- to renovate hodge-podge properties with odd additions, piecemeal redesigns, and rooms with decor from different eras. The duo blend elements of the homes' historical charm with modern design to produce cohesive and functional spaces. On Thursday, December 29, 2022 at Noon ET/PT, HGTV premiered "A Crazy Maze," a sneak-peek episode of FIX MY FRANKENHOUSE. In this special episode, a couple's home has turned into a choppy maze of additions over the years. Mike and Denese wrangle their house into shape with a design plan that suits their family.

FIX MY FRANKENHOUSE made its official series debut on Sunday, April 23, 2023 at 9pm ET/PT on HGTV. In the series opener, "My Franken-Kitchen," a couple has recently moved into their family's multi-generational home, and they've decided to renovate. Mike and Denese are tasked with keeping some of the historical details intact while creating a major refresh with a functional, open floor plan.
