Plot Synopsis

THE FIRST 48: WITHOUT A TRACE features updates on cases from THE FIRST 48, including all-new interviews with the detectives involved with the case. On Sunday, May 29, 2016 from 9-11pm ET/PT, A&E premiered back-to-back episodes with these stories:

"Tagged; Without a Trace" (May 29 at 9pm): In Memphis, Sgt. Kevin Lundy and his team investigate the murder of a 19-year-old man gunned down in the middle of a street. They soon find a witness whose story turns the investigation on its head. Then, in a remote area 20 miles east of Houston, a man walking in the woods discovers a startling sight--the remains of decomposed body hidden in the foliage. In one of his most challenging cases, Dep. Dennis Wolfford must first identify the body, before he can even begin unraveling the mystery of who to put it there.

"Family Secrets; Clipped" (May 29 at 10pm): In Memphis, a young couple goes missing. Fearing the worst, family members contact authorities for help. So the Memphis Homicide team finds themselves in an unusual situation: instead of investigating the loss of a life, they may be able to save one. In Miami, detectives are faced with the puzzling case of a young man shot behind a barbershop. With each new discovery, detectives get closer and closer to the truth. They ultimately realize that things aren't exactly as they appear.
