Plot Synopsis

FIRST AND LAST is a one-hour docuseries that takes an intimate look at the emotionally charged first and last days of new and soon-to-be released inmates at Georgia's Gwinnett County Jail. Each 60-minute episode features the stories of two or three inmates. On Friday, September 7, 2018 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Netflix released the entire six-episode first season of FIRST AND LAST. In the series opener, "Take Your Charge," Alex faces pressure not to snitch as he scrambles to make bond. Velma and Shantee unpack their troubled pasts and prepare for long-awaited freedom.
