Plot Synopsis

This half-hour series is an insider's guide to the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, with player profiles, stadium tours, and visits to host cities, including Rio, which was preparing to host multiple games during group play, a round-of-16 match, one quarterfinal game, and the championship game. Plus, this series reveals facts about new technology, mascots, prize money, and much more about the World Cup. Each 30-minute episode includes stats, history and background for three players, including: Mexico's Javier Hernandez; Brazil's Neymar; Ecuador Captain Antonio Valencia; Argentina's Gonzalo Higuain; Spain's Iker Casillas; Chile Captain Claudio Bravo; Uruguay's Luis Suarez; Team USA's Tim Howard; Costa Rican captain Bryan Ruiz; and more star players from the 32 teams that qualified for the Cup. THE FIGHT FOR BRAZIL premiered on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at 10pm ET/PT -- three weeks before the 2014 FIFA World Cup kicked off -- as NUVOtv aired back-to-back episodes.
