Plot Synopsis

50/50 FLIP is a one-hour docuseries that follows a husband-and-wife team, Krystal and Dedric Polite, as they use their 50/50 flip strategy to renovate a home with less than $50K in under 50 days in Burlington, North Carolina, where Krystal and her family grew up in and currently reside. For this duo, it's about creating affordable housing for everyone and not allowing a big developer to come in and outprice their hometown. Family is everything and by investing back in the community they also want to create generational wealth that they can build and leave to their two young boys and their kids' kids. In the series opener, "Back to the Old Neighborhood," Krystal and Dedric have found their next 50/50 flip: a house located just outside of Burlington, NC in Mebane, where Krystal's mom was raised. The market is hot and this could be a perfect flip opportunity for the savvy real estate investors. Their goal is to flip the property in 35 days with a budget of $40K. But once construction begins, they discover why the home was sold "as-is," running into problem after problem. Can they find a way to keep the project on budget and on schedule, or will this flip break the bank?
