Plot Synopsis

EXTRAORDINARY STORIES BEHIND EVERYDAY THINGS is a docuseries that explores how iconic American-made products are created, while celebrating the ingenuity, passion and creativity of the people who proudly stand behind these timeless classics. Each half-hour episode features two or three products. On Thursday, July 15, 2021 the first two episodes of EXTRAORDINARY STORIES BEHIND EVERYDAY THINGS dropped on discovery+ and the Magnolia app, the day that it launched: "Vinyl Record and Aistream" and "Pencil, Pan, Baseball Bat."

The sophomore season of EXTRAORDINARY STORIES BEHIND EVERYDAY THINGS dropped on Friday, October 1, 2021, as Magnolia released the first episode of the new season. The season opener, "Lasso, Guitar, and Skee-Ball," in a decade characterized by films about the wild west, rock 'n' roll and penny arcades, learn the history behind some of the most iconic products of the 1950s: the lasso, electric guitar and Skee-Ball.

Season 3 of EXTRAORDINARY STORIES BEHIND EVERYDAY THINGS premiered on Friday, February 18, 2022, with the first three episodes available on the Magnolia App. The new season continues to offer an in-depth look at how iconic American-made products are created, this series celebrates the ingenuity, passion and creativity of the people who proudly stand behind these timeless classics. The first three episodes cover cowboy hats, cranberry sauce, and pool tables. New episodes drop weekly on Fridays.
