Plot Synopsis

EXTRA VIRGIN's Debi Mazar and Gabriele Corcos travel across America with their family -- daughters Evelina and Giulia, and 'uncle' Robert -- as they they take a road trip, visiting restaurants, markets, food trucks and stands to get a taste of the local flavor and use that inspiration to create an easy meal for the family. Debi and Gabriele kick off their adventure by renting an RV and heading to the Grand Canyon with their family, taking pit stops on the way at The Farm at Agritopia to pick fresh ingredients and play with the pigs and chickens; eat with the locals at Liberty Market and fill up at one of the oldest gas stations in the area. When they arrive at the Grand Canyon, they take in the incredible view and prepare a delicious meal in the great outdoors. Other destinations include the famous Pike Place Fish Market in Seattle, Napa Valley wineries, Portland Lobster Company, Motown Museum in Detroit, Cape Cod and Austin.

On Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at 9pm ET/6pm PT, Cooking Channel premiered the season finale of EXTRA VIRGIN AMERICANA. In the season ender, "Motor City Deb-olition Derby," Debi, who loves Motown, classic cars and American history, stops by Detroit with Gabriele and their family, as they head over to Eastern Market where they meet with Chef Phil Jones, who has turned abandoned lots into culinary havens. They get some tips from photographer Tony Detroit and stop at Sister Pie, a well-known dessert shop. They take a tour of the Model T plant, where Debi takes the original classic car out for a spin, and the family cooks up a tailgating feast to share with new friends while Gabriele competes in a real demolition derby.
