Plot Synopsis

Executive produced by Ripa and Mark Consuelos, EXHUMED is a one-hour docuseries that examines murder cases in which unearthing a victim's body is the key to solving the twisted crimes. Each 60-minute episode features a different exhumation that has led to shocking new breakthroughs, unexpected plot-twists, and ultimately, justice being served. EXHUMED debuted on Sunday, January 17, 2021 from 7-9pm ET/PT, with back-to-back new episodes on Oxygen. The premiere episode, "Killer Obsession" (7pm), follows the case of Diana Kelley who was found dead in Joplin, MO. Investigators initially suspected foul play, but years later a strange coincidence links the death of Diana to another Joplin resident with similar circumstances, bringing hope to investigators that digging up her body will help solve two murders. The night's second episode, "Cold Case, Unearthed" (8pm), Marilyn McIntyre's murder goes unsolved for decades -- until 27 years after her death, the Columbus County Sheriff's Dept. Det. Sgt. Daniel Garrigan receives a call which prompts the case to reopen.

The series returned for its second season on Sunday, May 8, 2022 from 7-9pm ET/PT on Oxygen with back-to-back new episodes and a new title: EXHUMED: KILLER REVEALED.

"Murders on the Edge of Town" (7pm): A Missouri mother leaves home one night and never returns, but a new medical examiner performs an illegal exhumation and discovers the forensics may tell a story of two murders.

"The Body Under the Bulldozer" (8pm): A medical examiner is forced to take a second look when the father of a respected Alabama family is killed in a horrible accident, but a twisted story unfolds around the family's finances.
