Plot Synopsis

This series uses re-enactments, expert analysis, testimony of former addicts and recreational users, visual effects and CGI to demonstrate the effects of drugs, including: marijuana, cocaine and ecstasy in Season 1; and heroin and crack in Season 2. Each 60-minute episode focuses on a single illegal substance, using computer graphics to journey inside the body and brain to explore how the drug affects human physiology and how it causes highs and lows. Plus, scientists and users describe the detrimental physical, mental and emotional impact, and doctors discuss medicinal benefits of each type of drug.
